On completion of your order, you will be emailed a DigiTicket containing a barcode and booking reference number. Present this ticket on arrival, or if you don’t have a printer, simply make a note of the Booking Reference Number.
You do not have to print out the 8 digit booking reference – simply make a note of the Booking Reference Number and take it with you, coupled with some ID.
We do carry wheelchair users on the Viking Splash Tour, but these passengers must be seated on a bus seat and be mobile enough to be assisted up the six steps at the rear of the vehicle by a member of your group (see photograph HERE). The wheelchair must be collapsible and can be stored at the rear of the vehicle behind the back seats.
If there are spaces available you can book on the day, but if we are full, then you cannot. But you can book in store for another date.
Payments can be made to Viking Splash Tours by credit or debit card online. If you would like to make payment using another method, please contact our office on 01-7076000
YES! It really does go on the water. Check out our VIDEO page to see what to expect during ‘splashdown’.
Only if it is raining. We have a free-seating policy at Viking Splash Tours which is only affected in the event of rainy weather. The last 8 seats on the vehicle do not have roof cover which means if it is raining.. well, you are going to get rained on! When we sell the last 8 seats of each tour we will let you know that your seats will not have roof cover. Be advised that the Dukw is open-sided and we would ask all our passengers dress for the unpredicability of Irish weather.
There is no need to wear anything special for our tour, though we do advise all customers to please dress for the weather. Do not bring your own life jacket as we must insist that you wear one of ours.
Yes. Our vehicles are old and heavy but they were designed for more demanding and strenuous trials than what we put them through at Viking Splash Tours! (check out DUKW HISTORY). They are regularly serviced and we have a full complement of garage staff that keep the vehicles up to top performance standards. All of our vehicles are equipped with seatbelts.
Our regular departure point is St. Stephen’s Green North, just opposite the junction of Dawson Street (see MAP here). We have a group’s departure point on Bull Alley Street next to St Patrick’s Cathedral that can be used for school groups on arrangement. Regular tours do not run from Bull Alley Street. Only pre-booked group bookings can depart from this location.
When booking you will be advised that tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable and to be at the departure point at least 15 minutes prior to your tour time. Should you find yourself running late and do not think you will make the tour in time, or if anyone in your group has cancelled, please let us know as soon as possible. We will release the seats and attempt to sell them on. If, however, we are unable to sell on the seats, you will be charged the full price of your tickets with no refund. Please see our T&Cs.
